"Another well-crafted slab of instrumental progressive/stoner/doom [whatever label makes you feel good] from this Minnesotan quartet. Listening to it should evoke the same feeling, as this doesn't stray far from previous releases (And Blood Was Passion, and II: The Deafening Twilight).
This album has everything the previous have had--thick riffs and unpredictable grooves (mirrors of blessed miracles) sandwiching a bit of a spacey composition (star-ocean) and a combination of the two to finish you off (the avian magi). Typical Zebulon Pike, you'll wish you could headbang a while longer than the music allows you to before it carries you somewhere else."
